The Orientation Fair of the University of Catania is the annual event dedicated to high school students in their 4th and 5th years of secondary education, as well as to all individuals who have graduated and are interested in enrolling or transferring to the University of Catania, to facilitate an informed choice regarding university studies.
The first year of the Medicine and Surgery Degree program will include, in the second semester, two credits of professional internship in Health Informatics, supervised by Professor Alfredo Pulvirenti. The schedule for the internships will be communicated in due course.
The academic calendars for the second semester have been officially released. Students are advised to regularly review the schedules for important dates and plan their academic activities accordingly.
On the morning of January 17th, first-year medical students will receive their white coats, a symbolic gesture marking the commencement of their academic and professional journey in the medical field. The white coat, a universal symbol in healthcare, represents professionalism and the responsibility that comes with the practice of medicine.
In response to the missed Chemistry and Biochemistry Propaedeutics class on December 5th, 2023, students are hereby informed that a makeup session will be conducted on January 30th, 2024. The makeup class will take place from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
The Body Architecture lessons by Prof. Michelino Di Rosa on January 9, 16, 23, and 30 (Histology, Cytology, Embryology, and Organogenesis module) will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Microscopy Laboratory in Building A, Compartment 10, Via Santa Sofia 87, Catania. This will allow students to study histology under the guidance of the instructor through direct microscopic observation.
