After several days of disruption due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in the cancellation of some classes, the lectures for Molecular Biology, Applied Biology, and Health Informatics have now been rescheduled. Students are advised to consult the updated calendar for details, paying special attention to the rescheduled session next Friday, which will serve as the first make-up class. Additionally, the Applied Physics lectures will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

Medicine and Surgery Student Elections - November 2024

We would like to inform all students enrolled in the Medicine and Surgery course that supplementary elections for student representatives will take place on November 26-27, 2024. These elections are essential to ensure student representation within the governing bodies of the university, specifically for courses with fewer than 500 students. This includes our Medicine and Surgery program.

Voting will be conducted remotely through the ELIGO VOTING system, ensuring anonymity and transparency. All eligible students, both current and in extended enrollment, can participate.

Key Deadlines:

  • Candidacy submissions: must be completed by November 4, 2024, no later than at 12:00.
  • Voting: opens on November 26, 2024, at 9:00, and closes on November 27, 2024, at 14:00.

Upcoming Curriculum Changes for Medicine and Surgery Program

Starting in the 2025/2026 academic year, our Medicine and Surgery program will undergo updates to comply with new national regulations aimed at increasing flexibility and interdisciplinarity in university curricula, allowing students greater autonomy in customizing their study plans. This initiative aligns with Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). As part of this transition, we will review and update our course offerings to ensure compliance with the new regulations. Detailed instructions and timelines for these updates will be communicated to all stakeholders in the coming months.


Admission Announcement for Academic Year 2024/2025

The Ministry of University and Research announces that for the academic year 2024/2025, there will be 60 available spots for enrollment in the single-cycle master's degree program in Medicine and Surgery. These spots are allocated to 30 candidates from EU countries and non-EU countries residing in Italy, and to 30 candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad.

The Italian National Agency for University and Research Evaluation (ANVUR) has received accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). This recognition, valid until March 31, 2034, highlights ANVUR's commitment to maintaining high standards in medical education. The accreditation opens doors for Italian medical graduates to pursue specialization opportunities in the United States.
